What part of my skin do I match?Do not just look at your face! Look at your face, neck, jawline and chest! You do not want to only match your face because MOST of us have a lighter face or darker face . If you only match the face it is going to look very unnatural. Take a look at the FULL picture - you want this to blend in!

What type of light do I match in?Natural daylight! Stand in front of a window with a mirror, or take a picture of yourself from chest up! Do not use ring lights or filters - you want the most accurate skin color in your photo.

How do I find out what my skin undertones are?First, you need to figure out if your skin is cool, neutral, or warm toned. So, skin with blue veins and a rosy-pink tint is going to be on cool side, if your skin has a yellow/golden tone and greenish veins then you are more warm, and if you consider yourself to sit in between the two then you would be neutral-toned. Look for the foundation that sits within the same undertone as your natural skin - this gives the most natural looking finish!

What if I’m in between shades?Like I mentioned above, if you can’t quite get a perfect shade match, don’t rule out mixing it up – literally. Do you think celebrities or those in the spot light always are ONE exact shade? No way - that is a makeup artist secret to customize to fit each client! One shade probably won’t suit you all year round, especially if you tan. Maybe you mix two foundation shades, or perhaps dilute the pigment with a moisturizer or spf to get a “tinted effect”, or amp it up with concealer, remember that you can easily tailor your shade to perfectly match YOU!

What color are you, Sadie?I use color 2.5 for most of the year. During the summer when I’ve got a bit more color I can mix 2.5 with 2.75 for the perfect shade.
